Get to know our Inko Interior Designer Esther Jackson
1.What made you want to get into the design industry?
Obviously the Sims was every designers' influence, but also John Lewis window displays have always interested me!
2.What's your favourite project you have worked on at Inko?
3.What's your favourite type of project to work on?
I love commercial design like hotels and communal, but a show home allows you to push the boundaries.
4. What interior trend has caught your eye right now?
The artisan vibe is really big right now and I am absolutely loving it! I love the combination of handmade ceramics with textured fabrics, wicker baskets and lots of greenery brings together crafts from all over the world
5. Has millennial pink had its time?
Millennial pink is a love/hate relationship. Although it can still be seen throughout interiors and fashion, marigold yellow is pushing through so keep your eyes out for it.
6.What does your average day look like?
Some days we are out and about attending property surveys or researching trends at design shows and exhibitions, the next we are composing mood boards and sample packs for client meetings. No day is the same, so it certainly keeps me on my toes! The studio is a creative hub of activity and my team are fab!
7. What is your favourite fictional interior?
My dream home would be a converted barn conversion with stable block and exposed brickwork – minus the horses! Or somewhere hot by the sea.
